About the Artists

Hi, we're so glad you're here.

We're Alissa and Nichole, the artists behind AligN. We live in Becker, Minnesota, and first met when our youngest kids were in ECFE together. Life was busy and schedules were full, and it took years of talking about getting together before we finally made good on those long postponed coffee and Diet Coke dates. Once we did, it became clear we share more than a zip code. We shared a way of seeing the world.

Those slow conversations turned into sketching, painting, and making art side by side. Before long, we started wondering what might happen if we let those ideas live beyond our kitchens and notebooks. AligN grew from that curiosity, becoming a way to share artwork in forms that felt useful, thoughtful, and meant to be lived with. Greeting cards, notebooks, paper goods, and small gifts became a natural extension of that process.

Our creative paths are different but deeply complementary. Alissa brings in an interior design background and a love of space, balance, and material. Nichole comes from photojournalism, with an eye for storytelling, emotion, and detail. Together, those perspectives shape everything we create. The result is work that feels intentional, grounded, and quietly expressive. 

We believe there is something special about choosing a card, a notebook, or a gift that feels personal. Something made by artists, not mass produced for everyone. This is what we strive for with AligN. Pieces that add meaning in a small but lasting way.
